TECHNICAL REPORT :

Trap for the massive capture of Zeuzera Pyrina, Cossus Cossus and other Lepidoptera. This trap is a specific massive trap against lepidoptera.

CHARACTERISTICS :

Lepitrap is a trap for the massive capture (massive traps) of adulte males of Lepidopters Cossidi, such as Zeuzera Pyrina, Cossus Cossus and other Lepidopters. It is made in plastic material whose surface is glued by a glue with a long term adhesiveness. The butterfly is attracted by a pherormone and it remains glued on the surface of traps.

INSTRUCTION FOR USE :

Assemble the trap following the instructions written on the package. Put the glue or the film which is glued on both the trap's surfaces repeating the operation when the glue looses its characteristics of adhesiveness. Put the dispenser with the pherormone in the apposite box. Put the trap above the leafage. Fix it in the stablest way. Caution: If used improperly, these traps can become dangerous!

FIELDS OF APPLICATION :

Lepitrap is an insects's traps used in the orchards and in the olive-groves infested by the Zeuzera Pyrina, the Cossus Cossus and other Lepidopterans. To fight the Zeuzera Pyrina and the Cossus Cossus the Lepitrap has to be used in a period of time which ranges from March to October in the North-Italy and from February to November in the South-Italy. To fight these insects we suggest to use 10 traps at least for each hectare in case of weak infestations and at least 15 traps for hectare in case of severe infestations, or in allotment smaller than 3-5 hectares or when these may be found in some severe infected areas. To get an efficacious functioning we suggest to replace the pherormone after 2-3 months.

INSTRUCTION :

Put the traps above the leafage and consequently in a stable way; don't dirty the attractive-dispenser with the glue. We supply these traps for insects with different pheromones (different kind of pests) on demand.

PACKAGES :

Lepitrap may be delivered in some different packaging's types: a) LPOS 10 complete Kit formed by: 10 traps, 10 pherormones' dispenser, 20 cone-shaped films; b) LPOC 10 complete Kit formed by: 10 traps, 10 pherormones' dispenser, 1 glue packaging; c) LP 10 Kit 10 traps; d) 010 Kit 10 pherormone's dispenser; e) one glue package; f) 20 glued films.

GENERAL:

Lepitrap is a trap properly studied to check the Lepidopters and in particular the Cossides. Namely its allows a successfully check on a wide range of Lepidopters and on many differents crops. 1) In order to check the Lepidopters cossidi it is sufficient to install 10-15 traps for each hectares. In case of a massive capture it is recommended to check the traps' adhesiveness. The use of Lepitrap will avoid infestations in the new orchards and it will keep the infestations under control in some old plants, if it has been used correctly at least for three years (see the graphs). 2) In order to check Lepidopters, different from Cossides it will be suitable to put till to 20 Lepitrap for each hectare. It is important to put the traps above and to fix them in a stable way, in order to avoid movements caused by the wind.
